Morpeth Road Academy is proud to confirm that following our recent Ofsted inspection, it was awarded the highest rating (‘Outstanding’) for the quality of education, behaviour and attitudes, personal development, leadership and management, as well as, its early years’ provision.
In the report, Ofsted inspectors said: “Pupils thrive with the high level of support given in this school where everyone is made to feel welcome”.
Inspectors added: “Pupils blossom in their learning at this friendly school. Staff strive relentlessly to find ways to improve pupils’ lives, including through the delivery of the very carefully planned curriculum”
Ofsted also said the behaviour of the children was “excellent” and the youngsters were “courteous and polite”. “Bullying is very rare and is dealt with effectively if it happens.”
School leaders and staff were applauded in the report, which confirmed: “Leaders know the school and the needs of the community exceptionally well. They provide all pupils with a high-quality education by making sure that teachers are subject experts.”
All credit must be given to the leaders, governors, staff and parents who have worked together to ensure that the pupils of Morpeth Road Academy are receiving a first-class education. With the support of the Academy Trust, Morpeth Road Academy has been able to grow and excel, achieving this much deserved recognition from Ofsted.
This achievement will further strengthen the whole of our Academy Trust. We now know what it takes to be judged as an ‘outstanding’ school and will enjoy sharing the expertise that exists at Morpeth Road Academy with all of the schools in the Trust to continue to strive for excellence across the board.
