Early Years Focus: The WISE Writing Continuum: Unlocking Early Writing Success

In this online comprehensive session, we deconstruct the latest research around early writing into clear, actionable strategies.

The journey begins with exclusive access to our evidence-informed Early Years Writing Continuum, supporting children from age two through Reception. We focus on the essential pre-requisite skills that underpin long-term success, including core strength, bilateral integration, pencil control and early drawing development. We also explore some links with Launchpad for Literacy. Through the use of this continuum, we strive to provide a secure and coherent foundation for future learning.

We then turn our attention to Reception, sharing a clear, half-termly roadmap of expectations, alongside the systems and processes that support children’s development. This includes access to our dictation and composition guidance, enabling practitioners to embed strong early writing habits.
