Haltwhistle Primary Academy has achieved the highest rating from Ofsted in its recent inspection. Haltwhistle joined the WISE Academies family of schools in 2018 and this is its first inspection since then, so it is fantastic to report that the judgement was outstanding in all areas. Before becoming part of our Trust the predecessor school was judged to be requiring improvement.
Inspectors were clearly impressed by the standard of provision at Haltwhistle, which has benefited from a multi million pound remodelling in recent years. Amongst the areas which benefited from this investment was the high quality early years provision. Inspectors commented:
Children in the early years access a wonderful learning environment. Adults provide high-quality outdoor activities as a daily part of the curriculum. Children in early years get off to a wonderful start at school.

Here at WISE Academies we are so proud of what has been achieved at Haltwhistle. This is the latest of five outstanding judgements that our academies have achieved over the past two years, following on from Morpeth Road, Bexhill, Croftway and Malvin’s Close academies.
